Murali has been personally involved in creating learning solutions and conducting training programmes with top management teams in leading organisations in Telecom, Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing and Service sectors. He has facilitated Top Management Workshops and worked closely with leadership teams of organisations such as Indian Railways (the largest non Defence employer in the World) ; NTPC (the largest power utility in India and the sixth largest in the World), STPI, Carrier Aircon Ltd. (the inventors of airconditioning) , Phoenix Yule Ltd., Ispat Industries Ltd., KPIT Cummins Infosystems Ltd.(India's fastest growing midcap IT services Company), Tata Telecom Ltd. (now AVAYA India), Thermax Ltd., Bharti Televentures Ltd., Mitsui OSK Lines (a global shipping line), Premium Energy Transmission Ltd. (a manufacturing organization), and India Today), Reliance Communications and Reliance Healthcare.

In addition, he has been involved in design of solutions/ business development / managing client relationships with organisations like Hindustan Lever Ltd., Mahindra and Mahindra, WIPRO, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Lybrand, and Infosys among others.

In addition, he has been associated with the conceptualisation and implementation of several Corporate Academies (the Reliance NIS Academy, the Coca Cola-NIS Academy, the MAIT-NIS Academy, the Kuoni Academy) at NIS Sparta. Murali is also on the active panel of speakers for the Faculty of Management Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, CII, ASSOCHAM, National HRD Network & FICCI on HR, CRM & ERM related issues. He has been a visiting faculty at a number of Staff Training Colleges of large Banks besides having been a visiting faculty at IIM Bangalore. Murali also is a member of ASTD.

His areas of interest include Leading & Guiding change; Leadership competency assessment and development, Organisational Transformation; Personal Quality; Balanced Score Card implementation; Customer Service Strategy, Implementation and effectiveness of Learning Solutions.

Murali is a Bachelor in Technology (Chemical Engineering.) and PGDM from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (1981-1983). He lives in Mumbai with his wife, Sravani and two kids - Archit and Manavi.
